Carly and the Reaperman - Escape from the Underworld

Carly and the Reaperman - Escape from the Underworld from Odd Raven Studios is an asymmetrical puzzle game similar to Moss but in Carly and the Reaperman it can be played in either single player or couch co-op, there is no online multiplayer.

In co-op one person will play in VR as the Reaperman with the move controllers, and the 2nd player on the TV as Carly using a Dualshock controller.

Couch co-op is where the game really shines, the person in VR controls the Reaperman having to move blocks into place, block lasers and slow down objects that are trying to take out Carly. The person using Carly is tasked with collecting orbs and getting to the end of the level, certain levels need to be done quicker then others.

You really need to communicate with each other in this game which can lead to a lot of fun situations as I found out playing it with my children, there are situations like platforms that can only be seen by the Reaperman so you have to literally tell the other player to walk and stop at edges communication is key.

Levels start off easy enough so you can learn the basics after that the difficulty does get harder, but never too hard my children are aged 10 and 11 and they played no problem.

The games art style is very gothic looking reminiscent of The Nightmare Before Christmas, the graphics are clear enough on the Pro and look really nice inside the headset.

I highly recommend this game if you have a partner, children or even friends that will play it with you, you will have some decent laughs. I've only come across a few minor bugs which although annoying was never game breaking and can hopefully be fixed with a later update.
