Apex Construct Oculus Quest Review

Let me start by saying Apex Construct is a great looking game on the Oculus Quest with a decent amount of story and amazing voice acting, which takes place in a post apocalyptic world.

The story you learn is about 2 AI's Fathr and Mothr who are in a conflict with each other, you being the last human alive are brought back from the void and tasked with exploring the broken planet. As you walk around the game world solving puzzles you gradually start realizing what led to the extinction of mankind.

The game has you using an upgradable cyber bow & shield for combat which plays a major part in the game play, as you’ll need to fend off robotic enemies which vary in difficulty. Using the bow takes a little getting used to but once you do its one of the best bows i have experienced so far in VR.

Apex Construct took me around 8 hours to complete the main story.

The game also includes a mode called Cygnia Cup Challenge which is a sort wave shooter where you hit targets to try and keep a combo meter up all while avoiding Mothr’s attacking bots. If you die, the challenge is over.

The Cygnia Cup has global leader-board's with 6 different locations to play in, which adds even more replay-ability to the game.

Overall I would recommend Apex Construct to fans of narrative sci-fi adventures.
