Ghost Giant Review

I have spent the last few days with Zoink's Ghost Giant and being a man of 37, father of 5 children i'm a massive fan of most animated/CGI movies that are out there so this game was perfect for me.

When you first get into the game you are greeted by a kitten named Louis who is sat crying by the pond his tear's slowly creep across the pond and make up your hand's. One little prod with your finger has the poor little guy running for cover, as you go forward through the first couple of chapters of the Louis being scared of you he slowly starts to warm up to you as you gain his trust.

As the story progresses through the 13 levels you help your new found friend with his life, by giving him a helping hand with his chore's. You also get to learn all about his families past, more about his friends and all the quirky animal inhabitants of the village of Sancourt.

Each level is made up of an interactive diorama of different place's in Sancourt like Louis home, Sancourt Town and The Cemetery plus more. The levels also come a number of puzzles to solve by lifting roofs off of houses, turning houses around with lever's and pulling up daffodil's ect.

Also along the way you will also meet some of the towns people who are in dire need of a little help with their crazy problems.

You manoeuvre around the scene using X or O to move left and right and by pushing the move button and trigger which helps pick things up, push things out of the way, you can also blow through the microphone on certain thing's to help you progress through the level's.

The story is engaging from beginning to end and when the credits came up i wanted more but for a game which took well over 5 hours to complete i think i was just being greedy.

This game has an enchanting story written by acclaimed writer Sara B. Elfgren to some great voice acting also some very well thought out puzzles which at numerous times had me scratching my head trying to figure out what to do next only to see problem was in front of my face the whole time.

I am hoping Zoink Games will return to Sancourt again someday as this game has gone down as my favorite PSVR title's i own and one which i know i will play again. And i would love to learn even more about the town's wacky inhabitants.

10/10
